[Pin Slasher] first impressions ?
« on: October 19, 2008, 06:15:16 AM »
i recently purchased my NVD and my Complete NV coming soon to be drilled to complement my NVD. Im trying to rebuild my arsenal and replace my Total NV with ebonite products

Any first impressions with Pin Slasher ? Pins Slasher is really for Heavy lanes ? else which spot this ball can fill with the others balls ?

i think it will pretty much be a game breaker but stronger. everything is the same except the GB 12.7 instead of 10.7

Saw a guy shoot 824 this past Thursday night with it still knockin the drilling dust off of it. Ball was ultra smooth on a second shift shot. He was able to not change a thing and went 300-257-267.

Very smooth, reads pretty early - a decent bit earlier than a gamebreaker.  Predictable and carries well - since I drilled it last week I've thrown it about 90% of the time, including several tournies and leagues.  I see it shining on medium to medium heavy, but can also create a controlled reaction on house shots or short patterns.  So far - one of the best balls I've drilled in years.

From what I know about the ball,it has the same coverstock as the Infinite One(which I roll)and the core of the V2.Saw a league bowler on fresh oil(THS)try to roll this one and it never stayed in the(RH)pocket. It went brooklynn almost every shot.So unless it's highly polished or you throw it real fast, you'll need a lot of oil.But it should be a good ball with the right speed and good oil.But that goes for most equipment.
Also, track equipment is made by Ebonite.I went to a demo days and tried some Track stuff out.I was impressed. But I also like storm.I've got one for drier lanes(a new Tropical Storm)and am thinking about another one.
Hope this informs.Enjoy.Good luck and high scoring.

The cover isn't from the Infinite One, it's a solid version of the Angular One cover which is 12.7. From what I've seen from the ball so far, it's cleaner up front and has a much stronger downlane reaction then the Gamebreaker. Should be a really nice 1-2 combo.
