8 Ball box surface

Yes, it's ancient in today's terms, but I still have an 8 Ball that I am resurfacing and was curious as to what the box finish was for it. I would guess equivalent to 1500 Abralon with Factory Finish or so?

Not too ancient, we're both still using ours.  Plus have a NIB waiting for that special occasion.

The 1500 Abralon should be fine. Originally the paperwork (which we have) says the amount of hook is 12.5 shiney and 19.5 dull out of 20.  So it hooks more if you sand it.  Also says 6" of flare.  The backend strength is 10 out of 10 and the length is 6.5 out of 10.  I keep mine at 600 polished and my partner keeps his at 1000 polished.  It is an easy adjustable coverstock.

Still have mine, too.
