Angular One
« on: November 06, 2006, 02:48:47 PM »
This ball is great.  I'm a storm guy personally. Out of box the ball is a beast.  I did not change the cover.  I think its a little stronger than the Domination. I think the Domination is more controllable.  It destroys the pins.  The backend is a hard snap. So if your looking for skid flip this is the ball. First game out of box 268.  I'll post more about the ball after I bowl in my Tuesday night league.

In the bag!!!!!!!!

Hey, good for you! I get mine this Friday and hopefully I'll have time to have it drilled before position night in league which is also this Friday night

I also just got The Infinite One which to me is another superb ball from Ebonite.

We just got done doing a Demo Day this past Sunday where we got to see the new balls in action (Angular One and RXS 300).  I was very impressed with both.  The Angular compared to the Infinite, was cleaner through the first 30 feet and was nothing short of impressive from there.  The RXS300 compared to the Angular had similar length but was more of a hard arc to the pocket rather than a flippy backend reaction.  The RXS will fit nicely between the SR 300 and the One Series.

We had 5 balls at the Demo (Angular, Infinite, SR, RXS, No Limit).  The Angular and the RXS were far and away the two favorites among those who purchased and everyone who attended.

Did you pay "money" for BOTH Domination  and Angular One. If so... wow what a waste.

By the way I get bowling balls below cost.  So its not a waste (leftehh).  I am storm guy just wanted to try something different.  By the way I got the Angular for $90.00 drilled so how about that.  So you tell me where is the waste.

By the way I shot 730 with the ball in my Tuesday night league.  230,226,274
Ball cleared the heads well and started to pick up in the mids and opened a can of whoop@$$ on the backend.  My third game was deep inside and sent the ball out to about 4. It recovered well.

Hey Ghetto, I know this is in the ebonite section, but looking at your arsenal there, how would you compare the Domination or Angular One to the Passion?

I do have to agree.. I took this baby to a house that I typically have problems getting down the lane. We were on the second shift, I was still able to easily get down the lane with strong recovery but maintained directional hold. Sorry Steve S. ran the front 9 and decided to give just a little at the bottom and wholla........stoned a pin...

I just got this ball drilled out last night, and was able to shoot it on a typical house shot this morning.  I must say i'm highly impressed.  I was able to play lines I've never before played, and the ball finished like an absolute monster.

Played around 25 to around 9 or 10 or so, and just watched the ball beautifully flip left and bury the pocket when I threw it well.  Shot 233-227-290 for a 750 set first time out with the ball, with the factory cover.  Drilled it out with pin over the bridge, MB just to the right of the thumb and CG just to the right of grip center.  Highly impressed with this ball.

I just watched the video produced by Ebonite showing the One series... featuring the angular one.  I honestly don't know how anyone is able to throw this ball on a regular league shot?!?!  The ball is absolutely sick... even at 4000 grit polished, it covers as many or more boards overall than anything else out there (slightly less than the awesome hook at 500 grit surface).  When they started taking the grit down on the ball, it was still quite angular, but it just hooked MORE!  I'm quite sure I would never be able to keep one on the lane...unless the lane machine broke.

Try our house. Must be owned by the oil cartel. Straight 40 weight and probably 50 feet. I play my Big One standing 30 targeting 15 out to about 10. Even then if i get a little too aggressive on the sped I will be light. My angular will be here Monday and I cant wait. I get home from work at 5:30 and you can bet it will be in the jig by 5:45!!

actually...in the OOB condition the Angular One is longer and much stronger than an Infinite One in OOB. If you dull the angular one down to 1000 or 500 it out hooks the infinite one significantly. I personally think the Angular one is a more versatile coverstock and can help a wider range of bowlers but you have to not be afraid to tweak the cover.
