NIB Ebonite Skull Ball
« on: February 08, 2004, 10:10:48 PM »
What is a fair price to pay for a discontinued NIB Ebonite Skull ball?  Also, does Ebonite have any plans of re-re-issuing the ball in the near future?

Should I worry about this ball cracking if I do decide to buy it?  I have heard some rumors of this particular ball being prone to cracking.

Thanks in advance.

As far as the price..There are people paying almost $200 for those things NIB on ebay and all I have to say about that is CRAZY!!

I have never had that particular ball but had 3 other clear plastic spare balls and ALL 3 of them had problems with cracking around the fingers. I would stay away from those types of balls. I know they look cool, but the cracking out is very annoying and costly to get fixed.

I bought a plastic vizaball and have had no problems at all with it cracking. Thats the route I would go..

If they only made a ball that would carry that d*mn 10 pin..

The only person that I know who has one, got it when it first came out and he still throws it now.  It works great for him on dry lanes, and he uses it as a spare ball also.  I haven't noticed any cracking on it at all.
