Just got a One
« on: March 18, 2006, 08:45:28 AM »
I just recieved  a One.  I havent thrown ebonite in a long time but was actually impressed with this ball so got one for cheap.  I know the ball comes with a drilling label on it and instructions but I was expecting a pin of 3-4 inches but instead recieved one that has a 2 inch pin.  I'm curious as to whether this short pin will affect the ability to lay it out with the pin above the fingers in reguard to the late back end reaction.  I'm thinking it should be ok but just wanted to know what your opinions were or possible recommend another drilling.

Thanks,
Nick

I 4got 2 mention the current position of everything on the ball.  it's like this.

...0
...cg
...
...
.......mb
If i get the ball drilled with the mb located anywhere near the thumbhole then the cg will be negative.  i know on an asym. ball that the cg doesnt matter but i want to make sure putting it negative wont mess up the reaction

Use layout #1 and you'll have no problems.

Thanks.  Just wanted to make sure a negative cg would be fine even with it being asymetrical.  Thanks.

With layout #1 it shouldnt be a negative cg. #1 puts the MB 3" from the thumb. Is it that far out of line?

Actual picture would be great right now to show exactly how off cetner the CG is to the Pin and MB.

I actually measured the location of the MB inrelation to where the pin and cg are and it's right at 3 inches exactly so should be no problem.  Thanks for the help everyone
