This is from Ebonite's website under news

EBONITE MAKES THE COMPETITION NVS WITH NEW BALL

Wednesday, 06/06/2007

HOPKINSVILLE, Kent. – This season, Ebonite is bringing more hook and more backend continuation to the lanes with the latest addition to the NV series, NVS.

“The NV series raises the bar on performance through technology and is synonymous with length and strength,” said brand manager, Ed Gallagher. “The new NVS is an extension of this highly revered line, offering even more friction on the lane for added power in the midlane and backend than Total NV.”

NVS features Ebonite’s brand new Traxion Reactive 0.39 coverstock with a 2000-grit Abralon® with Powerhouse™ Factory Finish surrounding the ball’s Spike Core (version 1A). Its pearl cover is extremely versatile and can be changed to alter the ball’s reaction in medium to heavy oil. In Black/Red/Gold Pearl, 12-16 pounds, the competition will be very envious of the NVS this season. The worldwide release date for NVS is July 30.

Based in Hopkinsville, Kent., Ebonite International is a privately-owned company that currently services bowling centers, distributors and retail outlets both domestically and internationally.

Evidently, when Ebonite cites that a color is pearl, it means that the cover stock has pearl in it.

The NVS is a Pearl ball from what I was told. The midlane power and reaction is nothing like we have even seen. THis is going to be the strongest peral out on the market.

It's a stronger formula cover and still pearl like the Total NV "for better shelf appeal" like Ron Hickland said.

Any ideas when a solid NV will be in line?
