Pivot Point
« on: January 28, 2014, 07:29:01 PM »
I have thrown this ball on THS and on 42ft pattern for our city scratch classic and this ball is fricking AMAZING!!!  I recommend this ball because of the forgiveness it gives. I drilled this ball with the pin above and to the right of my righ finger with the CG in center of palm with mb right below my thumb. It's very aggressive and opens the backend of the lanes up. This ball gets through the fronts so smoothly; it never jumps or reads early. I left the out of the box finish on the ball  and to my surprise it rolls up well on the fresh oil and also allows me to open up the back end of the lane and still carriers great.  The new crown jewel of the Ebonite line!!!  I have some great sets since I have drilled them and after I threw it the first time, ordered a case of them for immediate use for upcoming tournaments.

The Pivot Point is an excellent complement to the Pivot.  I chose the ‘Demo Day’ drill after trying this ball at an event where I worked. This drill is very similar to drilling number one on the drill sheet that accompanies the ball. The polished pearl cover gets through the heads very cleanly saving most of the energy for a very continuous and assertive back end reaction. For me, this drill creates a very heavy rolling motion through the pins that creates carry that I normally don’t get.  Many a ball has come off my hand and my first thought is here comes another 10 pin, but it carries.  I also get similar results with some very light hits. There is a pretty good volume of oil in that 42’ house shot, but as long as I stay on top of it, the Pivot Point works its magic to the point where I've averaged nearly 240 for the last 6 weeks. Stockholm seems to morph into more of a Viper like condition once it starts to break down, and the Pivot Point gave me a very good look playing a slight swing between first and second arrows.  I said in a previous review that the Pivot is one of the best balls ever to come out of Hopkinsville. I have to say the same thing about the Pivot Point. The big E just keeps getting better with every new release.  This ball is fantastic and can be used effectively by all bowling styles. Get yourself to an EBI Demo Days at a center near you to try this ball.

I don't know all the drilling particulars as my pro shop does that for me. I started bowling 8 years ago at 300 lbs and worked my way up to an Angular One. My life went south as did I to Florida and I have lost a total of 180 lbs to date so I updated my bag with this ball as my first ball. This ball hits like a 188 Shell...  never has my ball carried pins like this and I was on lanes with no oil left after night before and morning leagues. Backend is unbelievable the move to the pocket is definitive and thrashes the pins...

I look forward to being back in a league and using my Pivot Point also the donation is a huge boon.. As a 100% disabled veteran I personally want to say thanks to everyone who buys this ball...
