« on: March 02, 2010, 12:14:16 AM »
absolutly love the carry and reaction this ball delivers but before i drill one up for myself i want to know how good the cover is? is it going to be like the original one and TNV that i had and that died shortly after getting or are the covers a little better and yeah i  know its all about maintenance makes a ball live longer so dont give me grief over the death comment i took excellent care

owned a gamebreaker, magic, magic action, hammer hotsauce pearl, jigsaw (all ebonite international) hammer sauce (magic and hsp had over 150 games on them), have not had any problems with ball death, so I wouldn't expect the mission to be any different. I only have about 6 or so games on mine right now, so I can't speak on the mission particularly, but i'm sure its like all the other balls listed if not better as its supposed to be the best engineered ball ebonite has ever released!

Hmm..Lets see what I have in this bag..A radiated C-System 3.5,an Invasion, a bright red Mission, a Motiv Qz1 Fire ball, and a green Avalanche.. how can I lose....

....HG-300(2006 w/Desert Heat)...299 (03/15/09 w/Agent Orange)...HS-776 (Hot Sauce Pearl & Ebonite Magic)

While I have SEEN Ebonite balls appear to "die", I have never had it happen to me personally.

The ones I've seen seemingly "die" were used by guys bowling 50-100 games a week with minimal maintenance. Some lasted longer than others, some "died" pretty quickly with the BW BITE lasted two weeks for a friend of mine who fits this description.

Now ME? I've had a TNV with a couple hundred games on it, cleaned after every set, that never died, but it only got 6-10 games a week. My GAMEBREAKER never died either, but it got used about as much as the TNV, and had the same maintenance. Even my old red PREDATOR never died out, and they were FAMOUS for losing reaction.

If I wanted a MISSION ( and I have been thinking about it), I wouldn't hesitate to get one, keeping in mind to do good maintenance on it and not "over" use it, meaning not bowling 50-100 games a week with it and virtually applying oil at a rate higher than the cover can handle.

Punched one up tonight.... I was told that the coverstock needs to be kept pretty fresh.
