Smash vs. Playmaker?
« on: February 10, 2010, 03:37:17 PM »
So I've had my eye on both the Smash and the Playmaker but can't make up my mind... What i want is a ball for medium-dry lanes. i have the one pearl and love it. also had the one solid and loved that ball too. i was thinking about going with the playmaker because it has the same coverstock, but not sure if its weak enough for dry lanes or if it'll be too close to my one pearl. any suggestions?

I would consider the Ebonite Boom. Great length with a controlled backend. Smash is very flippy and the Playmaker will roll too soon.

hmm never thought about the boom. will that work on dry lanes as well? wanted to get a ball weaker and stronger than my one pearl. that mission looks awesome.

Both the Boom and Smash will give you good length with the Boom being smooth on the backend and the Smash being angular. Boom is a very underated ball. IMHO, a Mission, One Pearl, Boom would give you a pretty good trifecta. The Playmaker would be to much midlane with that low RG once you starting getting into drier conditions.
