would a xcel particle drilled strong be a decent step over my ultimate inferno drilled pin under with gc kicked 1.25in from centerline in factory condition?

for heavy oil...YES

first off the Xcel particle is a ball while the Ultimate Inferno is resin. Flat out equals more traction which inturn means more hook.

Depending on you, I'd suggest #2 or #3 Drill on Ebonite's site. This will give you probably the best reaction you are looking for in heavier oil with this ball.
