XXcel

From the little bit I"ve seen of it this is a standout ball.

It reminds me a lot of the  Columbia Icon2 but maybe a touchless angular.

That is great!

A friend of mine has it and he looks like an old style was a full roller but now keeps it off the fingers while almost doing that full roller motion.

boy does this ball give him the proper motion on the lanes!

Very sweet lookin!

I was gonna pick one of these up on eBay a few hours ago.  It sold for around $90 shipped.  However, I was hoping to have it by the weekend and figured it was gonna be next to impossible.  However, if the next set of these goes for anything close to that price, it's going to be tough to lay off of these.  Unless the XXXcel will be in the same ballpark, pricewise.  Probably not this soon, though.

this has been my favorite ball for the last month or so. between the XXcel and v2 sanded they have been my go to balls. everything else has been collecting dust.

my preference for the xxcel is a light sheen, not dull not shiny. gives me the best read off the breakpoint.

I got an Xxcel last week, and it has only 5 games or so on it for testing and thumb slug adjustments on a 40' crown pattern. Ball is 3 1/2 pin-out, pin at 1:00 of ring finger for length. Box condition (nice 1.000 grit polish. Not high gloss, but quite shiny).
Hell, this ball floats down the lane and starts a sharp turn after 45' or so. I never expected such a sharp reaction from a particle ball on a sports pattern! And from my hands - I am just a stroker with about 10 hand revs and rather low speed (~14 mph).
I played it standing at 30th board with my right shoe tip, aiming at 16 - and the ball came back from anywhere into the pocket. Incredible performance, so clean and controllable... Great ball, and a great job by Ebonite!
