picked up an oldie off the rack
« on: January 03, 2011, 02:09:28 AM »
so bowling league two weeks back and I spot a ball on the rack, its got grips and is def a pearl, so I go investigate and what happens to be there, a single drill 15# hammer spike pearl, one of my faves, this is the alley where my shop is at so I grab it and go talk to gm, he says, go ahead take it no worries, so back to the shop I go, plug the thumb as it had a very small span, moved it and did a complete refinish on the ball had some knicks that would not come out but they are very very small, ball ended up looking pretty darn good, go 256 second game with that ball, just as I remembered it, awesome rolling piece with fantastic hit, with a diff of .070 whats not to love lol

reminds me a bit of the old lane 1 bomb core, similar numbers as far as diff goes .070 vs .071

been shooting lights out with it, guys on my team are amazed by it, i had one back in the day and between the spike and jackhammer I was golden, now if I could just find one of those jackhammers on the rack
