I dont know what was said and Im not going to judge anything anyone said. I do know though that when your young, as your only 13, then people WILL take advantage and tell you crap to make you believe one thing that isnt even close to the truth. Just try working with some of the things we have been posting the last how many ever minutes and then as I said before a few times, if you dont like the new changes, then sale it ok. Thats the SMARTEST thing you can do.

Well then do that. Thing is, at most you might get 75 for the Mean Machine. Wheres the other $70 coming from? IMHO its a waste of time and money. I would experiement first. Give it a week and try new things and see what works out for you.

This post has changed my life.  My Threshold is now leaving eBay and staying at home with me.....I'm going to throw it and mess with the coverstock and do all sorts of fun stuff with it...why because it cost me $30...that's why...

Not only that, but it's refreshing to know I'm not the only person who is on ballreviews at this hour lol.

Hammer, don't get upset or frustrated.  You spent all the money you had on something that YOU really wanted.  So you should try a bunch of different things to make it work for you.  Who cares what other people said NOT to do.  Maybe it wouldn't work for them, but might be exactly what you're looking for.

Not at all implying these guys don't know what they're talking about, because they obviously do and are GREAT people to go to for advice...but at the end of the day...you have to do what works for you...if it takes 500 changes of the cover..so be it....just don't give up

maybe get a MACHINE instead of a MEAN? It's polished, and the particle coverstock makes it a little less grabby!

Well what sometimes makes me wonder (im sure there's an easy explanation), is why Rick Leong's Mean, doesn't overall hook even close to mine?

how is shorty's drilled? it all depends on the person, I can make mine hook a ton, or go pretty straight. it all depends on the coverstock prep and the release.

Ok here's the BIGGEST question of my night! Could the Track Inertia be a Heavy Oil ball?

IneRTIA IS GOING TO BE MORE OF A MEDIUM BALL. it's a little less jumpy on the backend than the equation from what i see.

The reason Rick's doesn't appear to hook alot is because of the lanes he threw them on. They were fairly long and heavy with a decent amount of buff... so the lanes play tight where he makes his videos.

OK, I read the first page of replies but not the 2nd...so if this was already covered oh well.

From what I am gathering, the ball is getting good length and the backend is to strong. You wanted the ball to be earlier and smoother of the break. The reason you were told not to take it to a higher grit than OOB is because that will give it more length and be even sharper at the breakpoint. You were also told not to add polish because polishing at the same grit will just be even sharper at the breakpoint as well.

I would suggest taking the ball to 800 grit(grey scotchbrite pad) and leaving it dull. This will make the ball read much earlier and smooth out the breakpoint to be more controlable. Thats what you're wanting right? The only way this is going to work though is if you are throwing it on enough oil to where it does not burn up too early and the pattern is not too short. It really sounds as if you picked the wrong ball from the beginning for what you wanted, but try the 800 grit dull and throw it on some oil and you might be surprised.
