The entries seem a bit high.  I mean the Scorchin' Inferno is only a $130 ball at retail...

Distributors sell Scorching infernos for $115-125, I am just trying to make a living, not become a millionaire. And you can't get a ball for $10. Pay the $130 then, you can get 5 entries for $50 bucks nad have a 1 in 5 chance of winning, that's $80 cheaper

I tried to do something similar with a ball I have and people were like this is a scam, he's gonna make like tons of money on the ball.  The thing isn't how much I'm going to make, but how much less you can get the ball for you know?

Yeah but you did'nt specify how many tickets would be sold and the ball was a older columbia ball that was'nt to popular. Thats why nobody wanted to enter.

Its true, if I tried to get my normal mark up on a Scorching inferno, I would have to charge $237 with grips, slug, and tax.
I see guys on this site selling them for $128 shipped!!!  I charge $55 for drilling, grips, and slug, that would be $183, pretty damn cheap for a high end bowling ball. Consider the fact that volume isn't high in most shops, you have to get what you can for 1 ball in order to stay in business

I see what you guys are saying, but I mean my point is proshops do this in league, where they have a ball raffle, there's no limit to the tickets they sell, and you can pick any ball you want, which of course if better than an shock, but I don't see how it's a scam doing it.

I knew there wouldn't be a high interest in the ball I was using, that's why I didn't limit the tickets...I was just going to wait until I got the price of the ball back and then raffle it off ($60).
