Hammer X-OUT
« on: November 24, 2007, 01:02:58 PM »
Has anyone heard or thrown the Bravo? I was told that it was Hammer's X-Out and they just put a different name on it.

The one that I just picked up was supposed to be the Reaper2. But I had it drilled with a Flip Dick drilling and the ball is really good. It rolls out to and the just turns and rolls back into the pocket. For $60.00, It was well worth the money to spend on it.

I was just wondering if anyone else had one of these and what they thought about it.

I don't want to burst your bubble or say it's not a good ball, but $60 for an X-out of a low-end ball that was discontinued years ago isn't a real great deal.

$60 for a ball you believe in is worth it.

Now, with that said, I will agree with Shelley but only from the standpoint that I would not have paid $60 for a Reaper 2 Bravo.

I currently have a 3D Pearl Offset Bravo that I know I would have paid $60 NIB for......yes.  But that's because I love the older Faball lineup.

Speaking of which, if you look in the Faball For Sale, I have 2 links there for stuff if you are interested in the older Fab goodies.

Well, I did not spend any money on it, but they are selling for $60.00. I was given the ball to try a different drilling that I had been talking about, Flip Dick. Pin was far enough to do this type of drilling so I took it.

But I was just wondering if anyone had one and if they liked it or not.

Most people I knew that used the Reaper and Reaper 2 liked the ball.  Then again...they were Hammerheads and were going to like it no matter what!!  LOL.

That being said, the fact that it's a Bravo is nothing.  My Bravo is as such because of the color and the long pin and odd CG if I remember correctly.  Some of them had some off pin-CG-offset markings.  But it's still one of my favorite balls!!

Check to see if Faball Bravo balls are USBS or former ABC approved.  Some second balls are not approved by USBC.  This was a major complaint for the Bonanza balls from C300
