Anger Prep
« on: March 22, 2009, 12:29:42 PM »
I have a Hammer Anger and am bowling in a medium oil house. It's drilled pin below bridge, obviously pretty powerful for a medium house as it burns up real quick and there is not much backend. Any surface tips that might allow this ball to perform better? thanks.

PAP coordinates?

Try 4000 abralon, if that's still too early I'd hit it with fresh 1000 abralon and apply some polish on top of that surface.

My anger works great at all surface preps and a lot of conditions..
I took it down to 1000 to get a smoother roll out of it and was still use it on a medium shot with a little speed on it..
if yours is burning up and you want backend... take it to 4000 abralon.. that should do the trick

I polished mine and it gets through the heads and still saves energy for the backend, my anger's still my benchmark ball

I would leave the polish off of it to start out....not sure of your stats but at 4000 it should get down the lane on any condition.. it should have a bigger backend than you are getting now ..it might get pretty angular or jumpy on the backend though..

I am super surprised how easily my anger gets down the lane on drier stuff.. but can still handle oil..
I dumped my cell because my anger killed it on just about every condition.

i've noticed the anger does get down the lane fine, it's a matter of it not having any backend because i think it burns up fast on drier lanes.

I would agree.. at 1000 I didn't have a tremendous backend but the ball was burning up perfectly to hold the line straight up 12 and then turn into the pocket to kill the pins.. one thing I have seen is that my anger will carry heavy hits like no other ball I have..
the best thing about this 1000 surface was that on the slight reverse block that we were on.. the ball would hold the line tight.. but if I got it out you could see the ball cutting through the oil and get back to the pocket..
