Big Rig Diesel what conditions is it for
« on: October 24, 2007, 01:10:14 PM »
I wanted to see what conditions this ball is for.  Is this a big hooking ball?  I am looking for something i can play down the boards on medium to medium heavy oil with a good backend reaction, similar to a turbo diesel.  Would this ball work

I've had alot of success with my Big Rig playing the line you described. Generally swing it out over 12 and out to 5 and it has excellent backend. Mine is at 1000 ab, no polish and it handles heavy oil just fine. Turbo Diesel was one of the two Diesels I never had. Other was the Reactive Pearl. I'm killing this year throwing my Diesel Particle. Can't fathom why I quit using this gem! Every Diesel I ever owned was good in my opinion. Big Rigs are getting harder to find, even used.

Perfect ball for a down and in shot on medium to medium heavy conditions. The high diff. will give it a sharper move down the lane than the Turbo which was more arc.

Is it OOB finish? The OOB finish can give you too much over-under reaction. I have 3 BRD's and all are sanded to 1000 ab or 1200 ab. This will cut down on the O-U reaction but the ball will still be an animal. I just drilled up my last one, sanded it to 1200 ab and I moved the pin above my ring finger (I only thew it about 5 times so far). The other 2 have the pin below the ring and I kicked the cg out to about 4:30. The drilling is considered weak but the reaction is still stong.
