I would assume you saw a black widow with a lot of red in it, there is no definate date of the BWP (black widow pearl), there are claims of June or July but no OFFICIAL INFO YET.

I have seen a shop that had a Black Widow with a ton of red in it polish it and claim it as the pearl, I will never go there after finding out the truth about that run in.

The ball is overseas.  There have been pictures of it on this site.  It will probably make it's debut at bowl expo.

The ball isn't overseas, it's comming here and there are quite a few already made, so it is possible your proshop guy would have got his hands on one.

Supposedly, large runs of BWPs were poured months ago but are being held at the factory due to the high sales of the current Hammers.

Perhaps your pro shop received a seed ball for evaluation purposes, not resale.

This ball is already being sold overseas.  I didn't say it was just an overseas release.  We have seen pics of it on this site.

The one released overseas is red and black.  There's an overseas ball web site that shows pics of it.  This web site has been posted in this forum.  This particular BP is Red and Black with Yellow logo's.  It's supposed to have the same cover that's on the BW but pearlized.  It says the cover is VIOLENT REACTIVE PEARL.
