Black Widow with trick layout....Results with pics...
« on: April 25, 2007, 08:11:15 AM »
I got the Widow cheap so I figured what the hell, lets do the TJ layout and see what happens

Specs in profile...

The ball is very smooth and continuous !..No over reaction at all. If you tug it in the oil, the ball will hit flat (I left 2 back to back 7-10s when I tugged it on a fresh THS)

I see all these other BW's that go 50ft and the rip back, not this one

I could play this in between 2/3 arrow as far out as I pleased and it would arc back and continue through the pit, no roll-out what-so-ever.

What was hard to adjust is that even with my revs, the ball would NOT jump, just arc..I love it!

***If your a low rev player, I reccommend NOT doing this layout !***

I'm looking at trying this layout on a low diff sym cored ball next

...also, the ball won me 2nd in doubles Monday night with a 247...

I have the trick layout on my angular one and it is no where that far out. And the guy that drills my stuff is friends with Ron Hickland and got the layout for my specs specific. I was very interested to hear how this work on a black widow because i love my widow. Glad to hear you like it so much I love the one that is on my angular one

I have a similar layout on 1 of my BW's.  My CG & MB are in more of a stacked position rather than offset toward the thumb hole.  I have tried multiple covers on this reaction, as, at first, I was not 100% sold that it works for me.  Now, I LOVE IT!  The cover prep that I have stayed with is a Extender Polish done lightly either by hand or very lightly on a spinner.

Good LUCK!!!
