Bought a Doom
« on: March 27, 2006, 02:56:29 PM »
Been hearing some good things about this ball, so I went out and bought it.I had it drilled leverage 3 3/8 pin to pap.Just wondering what to expect out of it. I am a hi-tracker, med revs. ball speed 16-16.5 mph going to use it for med-med light oil. Also this is my first Hammer ball, been throwing brunswick last couple of yrs.

Well since you drilled it strong you should exspect a stronger mid lane read and a good back end.  Your going to find out as soon as you throw the first shot what all of the talk is about.  This ball hits and hits hard!  The carry on this ball is phenominal.

Just curious......why would you take a reactive pearl ball and drill it SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO strong?

In my opinion a shiny reactive PEARL ball is a ball that is meant to be drilled with a weaker pin, so it will store energy, and flip on the backend of the lane.    But, that is just my opinion.

I hope the ball works well for you.

All I can say is "hold on" when it finds the dry. I think this particular ball is a "sleeper" but, is starting to get a lot of attention. I have found it to be a lot stronger than what it is made out to be. I've found this ball to get through the heads & mids clean and really move on the backend. In fact, I think its all backend (lol!). Your profile looks a lot like mine. I would expect this ball to read up a little earlier than mine, probably in the mids a bit with a really strong flip and the POW!
