Cobalt Vibe

A few questions regarding the Cobalt Vibe for those who may know:

1.  I read somewhere that this ball is not a fully pearl.  Is this true?
2. If so, whats the ratio of solid to pearl?
3. Has anyone put surface on their Cobalt Vibe?  What kind of reaction did you see? Where did it fit in your arsenal?
4. This one might be a bit harder to get an answer to, but how does the Cobalt compare to an Onyx?

I'm not looking for posts about how great the ball is.  I know how good of a ball it is, I already own one.  For that matter, theres no such thing as a bad Vibe, they are all I use on house shots at this point.  Currently, I have the Cobalt (long and strong drill) for when I need to open up the lane and swing it, a Grape (control drill) as a house shot benchmark and a midnight (long and controlled) for when the shot breaks down.  I'm considering picking up another Cobalt and giving it a double thumb drill and some surface for carried down/longer house shots where I just need something a bit more and earlier.

Thanks.

In regards to the pearl question... It is 2 parts solid, 1 part pearl. I have 3 Cobalt Vibes & 2 of them have surface on them (1 @ 2000 - 50x5x30 & the other @ 4000 75x3x20)... The 3rd ball has the dual thumb drill pattern with factory finish surface.

For me, the Onyx is stronger (earlier 2 feet) than the Cobalt at the same OOB surface.

I think the dual thumb layout you are looking to do, will do the trick on the Cobalt.

Thanks Michael.

How do you see each of your Cobalts fitting into your arsenal?
