cut throat covers
« on: April 19, 2006, 01:39:40 PM »
I have a the big deal and I want to try a saw blade.are these covers the same except for the surface, tbd is 1000g. sanded and the sb is 1000g. polished.I really love the big deal as far as hit and mid lane roll on heavier patterns and hopeing the saw blade would work on med patterns with carrydown.can anyone compare the two?

I have never thrown the Big Deal, seen it. I did have a Saw Blade and for med , it was, at the time, my second best ball for med ( xxcel is better, IMO). The teammate had the BD and it would take more oil, but we have different styles/drills. Sorry, best I can say.

I have a BD and my buddy has a SB. It's really nice, it has a killer backend, on our league pattern, but he also bowls much different then me. It's pretty nice, but im pretty sure they'll work off each other.

My opinion is these two balls compliment each other very well.  Expect a bit earlier roll from the Saw Blade, and just a bit less overall hook!  Devinately something that you can drill similar to your Big Deal and allow you to stay in the same part of the lane and continue striking!
