You pretty much hit the nail on the head with your guess there. The Bite is quite a bit more angular at it's breakpoint too.

Keep in mind that if you pick the Beat'n up, it takes cover changes really well. So if the two are too close to each other you can always take the cover down to a lower grit, or throw some polish on and make the two even more different. Good luck and let us know what you decide!

The Beat'n is a great ball. I wouldn't hesitate to suggest it. I would also suggest the Blue Vibe. Would probably fit nicely under your Dead Flush. Keep in mind, I haven't thrown the Dead Flush, really just a guess.

The Blue Vibe is one of those balls that OOB it's one ball, and take the cover down to say, 1000 abralon, and it's a whole new beast! It's like 5 balls in one based on what cover prep you've got on it.

Beat'n is good.  Your assessment is about right.  My other observation is that the Beat'n needs some dry to hook and my Bite doesn't need nearly as much.

Also, before I signed with Hammer I threw some Wraths.  The Blue is earlier on the lane and could be surface prepped to be more or less hook than the Wrath.

That's a great explanation of the Blue Vibe!
