the black widow is an awesome ball when you have a fair amount of oil but is absolutely horrific when the lanes dry up.it's also one of those balls where the less you give it the more it hooks, typical hook in a box ball.it is very clean up front with alot of mid lane roll and backend with some carrydown and great for longer patterns.for these reasons I would give it a 4x4 drill and use it for the proper condition.if you're looking for a skid snap reaction I would wait on the black widow pearl as I am.on the other hand it may be great polished,I don't know as my bw is at 4000grt.maybe someone else will chime in.so far this is my favorite solid reactive ball to date.

pin under middle finger kicked cg out witht he MB all in a line at a 45 degree angle.  Thats how i have mine it goes long i am also a high rev playa with about 500 rpm and throw it on average 18.  I luv it i dont kno bout carry down to much it it will do what you want i think.

ok try another good layout of mine.  pin over middle finger cg kicked just little with MB out still.  never had this layout on a a-symetrical ball though. had it on a rebound.

mine is pin about even with ring finger and mb 2" right of thumb,no wt. hole and it is very strong.for some reason I have a hard time adjusting with aysemytrical(sp?)cores.they only seem to work good for a specific line and thats it.probably because the core is too strong to manipulate.

I think so...but I would'nt pass on the widow.a shorter pin to pap on the black widow is not stupid.it's a very clean ball in the heads with a ton of midlane and back end on med-heavy oil.I find it hard to fight strong covers through the heads except on a floods but on longer med- heavy patterns the bw is gold.
