First Blood and Arson Low Flare
« on: March 17, 2013, 04:10:34 PM »

I find it interesting that, after all the pre-release hype about the Arson Low Flare and First Blood, there have not been any review, not even by staffers.

My mom has the first blood and so does a lot of the guys i bowl with. It looks very impressive so far. Looks to me to be long and strong.
Haven't seen the low flair yet. I think most are afraid of it. Because they think it is low flair, and to some they don't understand what that means.

The Low Flare is being used by 2 guys in my league right now and it's impressive with medium-light patterns or the burn.  Both are using a little less angle with it but it still has enough recovery in back and carries well.  Both of these guys using it are die hard Storm fans too.

The First Blood is also being used by 3 guys in the same league and it's the ball to move left and wheel it.  It has the long and strong reaction that's similar to what you'll find in the Storm and DV8 lineup.

Friend of mine is a Hammer Staff member and has 2 of each. All 4 are impressive. I've drilled a few First Bloods and the backend is jawdropping. The Low Flare reads friction well and doesnt over react on the back. Different drillings will change the breakpoint and reaction shape but it will never really skid/flip. Its a great tournament ball and easy readings for THS.
The First Blood is an awesome ball for med/heavy that backends. When you need more movement that the Deep purple then the FB is it.
