I've never used the Grape Vibe specifically, but my Blue Vibe at box finish has always been too jumpy for these patterns.  I do have an Onyx Vibe at 2000+polish that works well on Cheetah especially - it's much smoother coming off the pattern.

A polished skid/snap pearl is rarely used on such short patterns where control is almost a necessity. Unless you dull it or your release fosters an even arcing ball reaction, this ball will, in general, lean more towards a sudden backend than an even one.

I will let you know since we are bowling on Cheetah this week and my Grape Vibe has been my goto money ball in this house all season.
