Hammer Big Blue Pearl - Hard to find NIB?
« on: March 22, 2006, 07:08:34 AM »
Hey guys, just wondering if any of you know if this ball was discontinued?

I am very curious about it and I remember when they were selling this ball with the free spare combo. Man, I should've jumped on it!

Any Hammer Nation or Pro Shop Operators/Distributors know if this ball is still around?

Thanks!

Ball has been discontinued from what we were told from the distributor.  I am sure someone else can comment for sure.

That ball has been discontinued by what I was told. I don't know to many people that liked that ball so not sure it will be missed. The entire Big Blue line was a bust IMO..

the ball is good on tough patterns.
I love the BBP.
I am down to my favorite 1, but had 3 at one time.
I had other looks that were better on THS, but this ball always seems to surface, when the condition gets a little tough.

I had a big blue solid and thought that was a great ball.  It was just a pain to keep clean.

Does anyone know where to get the solid?  I would love to have another one of those.  I throw 15lb now and my big blue was 16lb so I got rid of it.

The solid was a misunderstood animal.  I think Hammer advertised it as an oil monster, which it wasn't for most.  It was similar to the original Blue, from what I understand, to handle oil, but it wasn't going to hook 40 boards in doing so.

The Pearl, which I never tried, was suppose to be a better ball.  At least that's what I heard.  A strong mid to back end reaction was what I was told.

Won't make a statement on this one as you know my thoughts on the comment.

I do agree though that what one dislikes, another loves.

g_thing,

just stating my thoughts on both balls. I DID throw the pearl and had 2 different big blue solids and they all 3 where duds "for me". Just like I stated, I don't know to many people if any that like either one of those balls, at least the people I talked to didn't.. Thats why I said they where a bust.. Just my opinion and we all know how that old saying goes.. LOL..

I know how much you love Hammer and sorry if I offended you calling the big blue line a bust!!  Just one more thing we don't agree on!!  LOL..
