I have always wanted to try these two balls and there are some on ebay that I might try to pick up new, has anyone had them and threw them. I see the nv on bowlingball.com but 500$ is a little steep. how do they compare, I know they are rare balls but would anyone have any idea, thanks

Trackmaster,

The Chalk from what I hear is nothing more than a Black Widow Sting and if that is the case then this ball is designed to skid/flip like no other. As far as the NV goes, from what I was told by a few people around here that got their hands on it, it is not as aggressive as they thought it would be. More length and very tame to their standards. Hope this helps. God Bless!

Well since I own both of these balls I will comment on my opinions of each.

I have 3 of the Ebonite NV's, all 3 different drillings, all react differently.
2 of the balls are strong for me and the other is not weak but the weaker of the 3.  Very good ball IMHO.

My Chalk is also strong.  The reaction is kind of a skid/flippy roll, almost looks angular.  I was watching a guy throw the new Jigsaw Corner and his Corner had a very comparable reaction to my chalk.

I like both balls very much. I would recommend them both if you are looking for a stronger ball.  The NV I believe is a much more versitile ball because since I have 3 of them and 3 different looks on the lanes.

Like I said I would definately recommend both balls IMHO. If you need any more info on how either of my NV's react or my Chalk PM me.

Hammer is not a company that matches up to my game, but I bowl with four other guys who bowl nothing else. One young, two middle age and one older fellow. The speed ranges from very fast(18) to very slow(13)Each of these gentlemen have a Chalk and everyone of them scores well with it(200).It looks to match up well with anyone who enjoys that brand of ball.
