If bowling is "dying" why does it seem the ball releases are more frequent than ever?

So the Phobia should be a cleaner version of the Scandal Pearl. Semtex vs Semtex CFI coverstock. We know the Scandal core is strong and the Phobia core numbers are almost identical. Kind of a strange release so soon after the Scandal Pearl, but if it's significantly cleaner through the fronts with more backend then it makes some sense. The Scandal Pearl is pretty early for a ball like that.

when you think about it, this is on par with the time of the year.

Judging over the past.. call it 5 years, we've seen the pattern of something released at the beginning of the season, right around the middle of the year/Christmas time, again around the time of Nationals, then during the summer, with all of it being a combination of what's in the HP or MP line. It's almost predictable, with the exception of what type of ball is being released.

The only thing I can say is that it puts a lot of onus on the bowler to do their homework now, as they are easily being put on the fence for what ball to get for what they want it to do.

I wish all manufactures followed a February, May, August, and December release schedule or similar. That way they all drop together, I can compare and make my purchases for that release.

The Phobia is a symmetrical widow basically
The Mako and the Phenom pearl were a huge favorite by the players at the World series that just wrapped up

I like where they are going with the Phobia though. Symmetric options in that Category other than the Widow line is a fun refresher.

that Gauntlet is going to be a beast. My PSO in Vegas was able to catch the videos of that ball rolling, and he's drooling at the mouth over that ball. All that he could tell me is that it is Hammer's next HP ball.

That had me worried as they just brought out both Scandals (yes, the Solid Scandal is coming up on a year old), but from what he mentioned, the Gauntlet is going to be asymmetrical, so this would basically be replacing the Dark Legend Solid, as we're getting a different shape altogether with the Scandal and it being symmetric.

so far, that's all I've heard: Assymetric, HP ball, replacing Dark Legend Solid.
