Sharp Blade....still impressive
« on: February 06, 2008, 02:30:42 AM »
Took this smooth powerful bad boy out yesterday and I remembered.....

I
Liked it!

This ball fits now right in between my Icon....(rounded smooth and lumbering) and my Icon 2 which is a little too long and sharp at the back on a medium heavy oil pattern on wood.

Good push but plenty of smooth strong backend hit and carry!

Sweet.

REgards,

Luckylefty
PS this ball is sort of UGLY....also!
PPS very similar to a pretty good performing and also UGLY  WOW pearl which dooes well on this pattern also!

I still have and use a sharp blade. It is pretty strong aand I only take it out for "heavy oil". I still have and use an Ego every week. 2 really good balls. I keep wanting to buy new balls, but I am getting a really good look with my Ego and a Sonic X. I've been using these 2 pretty much exclusively over the last couple of months. Hard to justify a new purchase when there is so much dry locally. The new stuff would be counter productive.

I have this ball and love it...I'm new to the forum and my 1st post.  It is my primary/only ball.  I've been using it 1 night per week for a few years now.  Since I've gotten the ball my avg has gone up to a 180.  I need to get a 2nd ball now.  For dryer situations.  I am thinking of the Toxic or the BW Pearl???  I like the long and sharp in ball.  any suggestions???

My sharp blade is drilled with pin 1" right of ring finger and go zone in my palm area.  If I said that right???  who knows???  My only complaint is this ball leaves alot of single pins...7 and 10

How can you tell when this ball starts to wear out???  I wasnt really good about keeping it clean in the begining.  The ball still reacts the same as the day I got it.  I just leave some weird splits and doubles when I hit the pocket.  Is there something I can do to revive it???
