I want a Pain
« on: January 22, 2007, 03:30:33 PM »
I want a Pain. I have med/hvy covered with the Black Widow, but I was thinking of getting another type of reaction. When there is carrydown and the Black Widow isn't turning the corner I was hoping the Pain would read the lane earlier and handle the carrydown well. Am I right and is getting one a good idea? Most of my balls go long and snap except for my Strike Zone, but my SZ is drilled really aggressive.

Just got a Pain couple of weeks ago.  I wanted more of arcing roll, which it most certainly delivers.  Seems like it revs through the oil and starts to hook once it hits the dry.  Of course, it hits like a monster.  Last night I was standing at 30, aiming at 17 and going out to 10 during my 2nd game. 240.  1st game was a little more hook because the backends were still dry.  Standing at 30 still, aimed at 15 and threw it out to 5.  Amazingly, I only had to change my aim and not my position throughout the 3 games.  Last game (massive amounts of carrydown), still standing at 30, hitting about 19, let er slide..to about 14.  Not very much hook, but hit hard and had the first 8.  Got slow, let it float outside and left the 3-6-7-10.  Ended up with 254.  718 last night.

Not to mention that the 5 on the other team were playing straight up (1 was a lefty), they had great first games.  I knew I would come out in the end as I was playing in the oil and following the oil line.  2nd game, the outside became a desert and I was sitting pretty for the rest of night.

Hope this helps a little.

Last week 708, the first week with the ball.  I was just trying to find the right line to play, seemed to find it quickly...lol

Edit:  The guy on the pair next to me shot 778 with his Pain, lefty.
