Jacked Problems
« on: April 29, 2010, 01:01:42 PM »
I have a Jacked pin next to ring finger and mb in a strong position but I am concerned.  I have read reviews and seen jacked as a hookin monster  and it its no such thing for me. i have it at box. It hooks like the little train that couldn't.  Im thinking it could be the layout any suggestions??????

How many games you have on it? What was the shot like you bowled on?

Sometimes it takes more then a few games to get going. I would be more concerned with adjusting surface then the pattern it is drilled on.

I mean it has quite a few prolly 50 or so and I have had it at 1000 2000 4000 and nothing.  I recently bowled in a tourney with not even a long shot or heavy oil and my onyx vibe out hooked it.  Like I said it just it set up but didnt make quite the agressive move I was hoping.

okay sounds good thanks. This might be a stupid question but when you say add poilish do you mean on top of box finish, or bring it up to 4k and polish it?

Try a de-oil.  I've not experienced much ball death, but I did with the Black Widow Sting after like 30 games.

Try a de-oil, bring the ball up from 360-500-1000 and try that surface.

I agree with the others. You need to smooth the surface and/or shine it up. The Jacked is a very, very strong ball. BTM had it nearly as strong as the Invasion in terms of hook potential. As such, unless you're bowling on a whole lot of oil, it's going to be apt to burn up on you.

Mine is a super sponge too. But works well again as soon as you get the oil out.
