Length Ball
« on: September 05, 2003, 12:36:53 AM »

I'm presently using an Ebonite Savage Pearl (which I think is very similar to the Blade Pearl) and the
Hammer Blade Reactive.  These two balls cover a lot of conditions in my area.  However, one house I
bowl in puts down a very light layer of oil and the Savage Pearl starts hooking too early even when its
polished.

Would the Sling Blade give me more length than the Savage but still have a strong "pop" on the
back end?

Any help would be appreciated.

I would definately suggest getting the sling blade for length.  I used mine sling blade last night in league.  Guys were complaining about how dry the lanes were but I was playing second arrow swinging it to about 5 and the ball would just travel down the lane and then make its move.  I shot 239, 245, 260.  I have a 2 - 3 in pin on mine drilled with the pin above and in the middle of the finger holes and the cg straight down from the pin.  Great drilling to get length along with a nice backend reaction.
