New Tournament Guy

If you could come up with a 3 ball Hammer arsenal for a guy that wants to start bowling in tournaments, what would it be? Something for  dry to lighter mediums, mediums-light heavy (house shots) and a heavy oiler. Thanks for the tips! I only want to go with 3 plus my plastic spare ball.

I'd go with:

Anger
BWP
Vibe

The BWP can handle a decent amount of oil if you take the polish off, just ask me, I did it

how is your doom drilled?

anger for sure for heavy oil, and for dry lanes either vibe would be fine. the blue on rolls more while the cherry flips more. dont under estimate the vibes though. they do hook.

i have the Doom drilled weak and i love it on light and dry oil, so i guess i need a ball for heavy oil but i like how everyone has said the Anger i will go with that, so in essence i need  ball to fits between a Doom and the Anger ( i know somebody else has kinda asked this earlier in another post) but what do you think? Thanks for all the advice!

There's a few different options you have.  The Anger and Doom make a very good two ball combo.  These two balls can cover a ton of different patterns.  The DOOM itself can be used on light all the way to heavy if brought to the correct cover grit.  It's that versatile.  So when thinking of your 3rd ball, don't limit yourself into thinking of a ball to fit in between your Anger and Doom.  Just look for a ball to give you a different look on the lanes than the Anger and Doom.

I would look into the BW series or the NM series of balls.  Those will give you a completely different reaction shape than the Anger and Doom.

Awesome thank you. What about the Bite, do you think that would be too much? if not maybe the solid?

If you have to use Hammer, then you have to have a Blue Vibe!  This ball can do it all!

The BITE is going to be stronger than the DOOM and ANGER on the backend.  The BITE can handle the same amount of oil as the ANGER it just goes about it in a different way.

Like I said before.  Don't worry about getting a ball to fit in between the ANGER and DOOM.  Just get a 3rd ball to give you a different look on the lanes.  You can buy yourself a set of abralon pads and adjust the covers on all your bowling balls to match almost any condition you face.

Is the BITE to much for your 3rd ball?  No!  It's going to give you a different look than what you already have.

Someone else mentioned the Blue Vibe!  Yes this ball is another great piece that can be used on everything but toasted patterns.  Take a Blue Vibe and a set of abralon pads and your set!  I'm not kidding about that ball it's that versatile.  The Blue Vibe reminds me of the DOOM with it's versatility!

Ok now i'm down to the Toxic or the Bite. The question is, will the toxic give me a different look than my doom/handle a bit more oil?

The TOXIC in it's box surface is very strong on the backend and has very little mid-lane read.  So the TOXIC is going to be longer than the DOOM with a more flippy backend.
