no mercy clean is mean
« on: April 16, 2007, 09:26:35 AM »
I was bowling yesterday on a perfectly prepared 38 foot house shot.Newer synthetic lanes and i was able to get a pretty good read on my stuff. I played around with lines and hand positions and balls then i picke up my no mercy. I thru 2, 7 10s,and countless ten and seven pins.Since i was practicing i decided to clean the no mercy and see what it would do.

My no mercy is already at 1000,but how i clean it is with a green scratch pad and some brunswick cleaner that i picked up at k-mart, its good stuff. After i cleaned it i thru the next nine.
Morale of this story is clean it every time you use it.This balls reaction changed so drastically that i was no less than shocked.the same shots that i left pins with before carried, shots where i didnt think the ball would get back it roared back like a lion.Since i cracked it (while cleaning it) it has trully been the ball i had been looking for.Now i am wondering if its the crack or not. The crack goes from the middle finger to the thumb,I know its not leagle ,but i am not shooting any tourneys with it. Now i think i want another one.

If your cleaning the ball with a green scotchbrite pad then your changing the surface to 600 grit.  That's very dull for this ball.  I'm surprised it's not burning up for you.

it is pretty condition specific ,but i dont need ot for anything but heavier shots.38 ft ths isnt heavy by anymeans, but if 600 is what the green pad takes it to then thats what i need for fresh house shots. So i guess i would need a piece of charcoal for a truly heavy shot.
