No Mercy....suggestion!?
« on: April 05, 2007, 04:34:26 AM »
I realize I am new to the Hammer Forum, but I have helped many people on this site with layouts, fittings surface adjustments etc...  well now it is your turn!

I picked up another No Mercy....how should I drill it? Remember I had the #1 layout on my first one and had to redrill it. I ended up placing the pin below the ring finger. So I am looking for input from you folks on what I should do with this ball.

Thanks,
Carl

I must say I am suprised you picked up another one. You don't usually pick up more than one ball unless you really like it or see something special in it...am I right?

Moving on....so I see you have become more rev dominant. Is your speed still up there pretty good or have you backed off on it?

Six,

Honestly...it isn't that I see something special in it, it is more that I see some potential in the ball. I got this one used...traded my toxic for it. I am interested to see what R.H. was thinking when he designed this ball. I think this ball would have solved the problems USBC was going to create eliminating weightholes. I was very happy with the reaction and hitting power once I redrilled my first one.

I am no longer rev dominant in my "A" game. I picked up a bit more speed and made my release much more consistant than it has been the last few years. As of right now I would consider my speed and rev rate pretty close to a match.

I picked up my NM from the shop yesterday. I went with the #8 drilling, pin to pap distance 4.5 inches which put the pin in the middle finger. The hart is under the thumb.

Thanks to Chitown for sharing his NM layout expertise.

Let us know how it rolls for you.

Mine came with the CG off set to the left which forced me to put the CG at almost 1oz of negative to get the HART left of the thumb.  I'm a right handed bowler.  Yours looks to be off set to the right and your a lefty.  How ironic that is.

I hope this layout works out good for you.
