Just curious if anyone has tried polishing a regular big blue and if so, what results did you get..

I tried it briefly right after I had it drilled up, thinking it would "save" some energy and provide a bigger back end-- I was disappointed with the experiment, and went back to the "box" finish -- I'm a lot happier with it that way -- But then again, I am not a cranker -- I can see why it worked for that other guy.

I have done this with a couple of my BB.  It really did wonders for me, allowed me to move inside and play crazy parts of the lane where it would not at all be possible with the box surface of BB.  It did indeed save the energy, and as insideout said, it made a strong arc, not an uncontrollable snap.  Definately worth experimenting with, as I have said this is the most versatile coverstock I have ever seen and you will see when you polish it like a marble or dull it like a piece of chalk, it's a phenomenal ball either way!

While we are talking about it...is the ball difficuly to polish?  I remember the original Blue Hammer was tough to polish...not that it matters.

What have you guys used to polish the ball?  What grit did you sand it to first if you used paper at all?

Thanks

Has anyone tried a luster king machine?  I use Black Magic and Ebonite Factory Finish...would either of those work?

I am going to do it on my spinner when I get it monday. I do not believe this ball can be polished by hand.. It would take forever and probably not really take the box finish off as good as a spinner.
