Road Hawg Drill Suggestions.....................
« on: March 21, 2006, 04:52:37 AM »
Sup Hammer Nation.

I just received my Road hawg from UPS today.

Here are the specs:
-15.00 lbs
-2-3/4 top
-2 inch pin (measure from the cg to middle of the pin)

Is this ball skid snap or skid/arc?

Look at my profile for my span and pap.

How should i drill it out today?

I have alot of early rolling layouts on my other balls. I want this to go long.

Well with the short pin out you can drill it with the pin below the fingers fairly easy.  However pins below will give you a smooth reaction compared to pins above the fingers.  You can still get some good length out of it.

Drill it pin below the bridge.  This should be 5 5/8 from the pap based on your profile.  Then kick the cg right to where ever you want.  This should give you some nice length and a smooth back end.

Now if you want to get creative and maybe have something different drill it with the pin above the bridge and kick the cg far right.  Then because of the short pin you will need a balance hole above your pap to get the excess finger wieght out.  Kind of like the what Tommy Jones and Patrick Allen have on there latest balls.

I hope this helsp you bud.

On a side note pins above the bridge which is 5.5" from my pap are my favorite layouts and give awesome back end reactions.
