Still throwing a sledgehammer.
« on: November 02, 2003, 10:02:41 AM »
I've been using this sledgehammer for about 3-4 years and I'm still bowling 250's but it's definitely time to let go.  The ball is pretty much dead.  I'm looking for something just like this one.  I throw a big hook and this ball used to snap back into the pocket.  Any idea on what ball(s) would do that now?  Doesn't have to be hammer.  Thanks.

I still throw mine too!  It's still going strong!

Smooth and big!

Every once and a while there are some on sale here!

Also I have a Blade pearl that too me seems close.

I also have a backup sledgehammer I'm getting ready to redrill!

I just picked up a used sledghammer for FREE from a user on this site and used it today for the first time and wow, this ball is awesome!! I think it hooks more than any of the other 4 Hammers in my arsonal.

I am very happy with it and for the price I paid, it can't be beat..

I suspect a lightly polished Turbo Diesel, a Dyno-Thane Thing, a Morich Onslaught, or a AMF Triumph might be good possible contemporary replacements for a SledgeHammer.

That or he is saying that his ball is so far gone that it is only good for fried heads.

I actually had more luck with the syntactive, than I did the sledge. lol
I got a feeling if I would have put a polish on the sledge (say about 1000)
then it might have worked.  Glad you like the ball though g_thing
