This topic has lain dormant for two weeks.  Time to ask again.  Any news?

Maybe this is going to be another case like when the Sling Blade came out.  Hammer got it on the ABC approved list 3 or 4 months before it hit the market.

We used to get occasional info from Ed Gallagher, but I seem to remember hearing that he got moved over to the parent company, Ebonite.  Hope it was a promotion, Ed!

Anybody got anything about this ball?

I haven't even heard mention of this ball anywhere outside of this board.

I don't see it on the pba approved list either.

I don't know of any new balls coming out soon from Hammer, either.

I think the next release may be in the fall.

It's on the ABC approved list:

Given Hammer's past history, I can see a possible four month wait, bringing us to June.  I can't imagine them getting it approved in February and waiting for fall to release it, but I guess it could happen.

Thanks for the nugget of info.

Just a side note...
Doesn't May seem like just about the worst time of year to release a bowling ball?  League seasons have ended.  Northerners are getting outdoors.  Even avid practicers like myself tend to take a few weeks off.  In April, people might be looking for a ball to help win a championship or spike up the prize money.  In August, or even July, people might be looking to get the arsenal in shape for fall.  But May?

Pro shop operators--how are sales in May?  Maybe I'm wrong.

Apparently there is this thing called Bowl Expo- in Vegas.   There will be new releases from every company unveiled there.

...starting on June 27.  Of course, maybe Hammer will delay the release of the Switch Blade until then.  It would be in keeping with their policy of getting balls on the approved list 4 months before releasing them, allowing anticipation to turn to boredom.

I thought it was posted on this forum somewhere else, but from what I have been told....modified Blade core, reactive coverstock.  That is all I have heard of.  I do know some people who saw Brian Graham throw the ball at a tourney in Ky recently, and they said the ball looked GREAT!  I have faith in my sources.
