Results

On you typical THS wall I played a pretty deep line and had to keep it from hitting the dry area outside of 5 otherwise it would come back way to far. I played a line of 25-7 for the two games and the ball got through the heads and down the lane and then revved up hard and made a strong and pretty angular turn and shot at the pocket. I had no issues with carry and only problems were the ball was a little too much for the wood lanes and its wall.

From what i've done with it (two games and a 45 minute practice unscored for free to see if the fit and everything was good) I'm impressed. I will post a full length review complete with ball reaction, lines played and oil patterns when I get the games on it.

Well thats all, thanks for reading and Hammer really has a Winner here, and boy that Pain i'm looking on getting this winter looks good to.

You have yours drilled just like mine, except I am a lefty.  It's everything people make it out to be.

You're really going to love it once you get some more games on it and see what it can do.

Yeah I'm hoping it holds true, my house has a tapered 4:1 oil pattern (not THS, but can seem like it at times) and the sport shot for bowling team. I'm excited to see what happens and as I mentioned in the topic i'm looking forward to checking out a Pain and probably drill it similar for more oil.

This ball is just plain great!  Don;t foget this ball also takes to cover changes very well.  I took the OOB cover of a couple of my Dooms to see how they would work.  They worked great at various cover grits and polishes.  My favorite is the matte polish from Ebonite.  My Doom with this cover is just plain awesome.  Great cover for tough patterns.  It smooths out the break point and still retains it's monster carry.

If you get a chance to get the Pain; Do it!  I have one drilled identicle to one of my Dooms.  It can handle heavier oil than a box condition Doom.  It also hits and carry's great.  Another winner from Hammer.

Look out guys I plan on having a couple of Pain's to go along with my Dooms.

Okay update.

So I used this on a THS shot that my buddy had no problem throwing a Vertigo sanded on and couldn't get a fired up to move. Well the Doom evident forgot the oil, I kept the break point at about 10 and played around 20-10 and later on 25-12. The ball just flat out carries. I tried different shots with more or less side roll on it and just really saw different reactions that were all carrying well and covering ground, just in very different ways. The first week of september my Junior League starts so hopefully then I can really get in depth about the ball on a non THS pattern.
