There is no scotch brite pad that is 2000. A white is approx 1500, the closest you'll get unless they've come out with one I don't know about yet.

Good Luck !

best bed is to order a pack of abralon pads... get every grit... 180, 360, 500, 1000, 2000, 4000

that would be the best idea and start with the 180 and move your way up to 2000 and then hit it with the polish...

I looked at the Walmart here for high-grit sandpaper with no luck, but did find some at local automotive stores like Autozone and O'Reilly.  Look in the paint and finishing section.  The one here had a spot for 2000-grit paper but didn't have any in stock.

For lower-grit (low, bowling-wise), try a paint store like Sherwin Williams.  The one here had maroon pads.

Just go to the automotive section of walmart and get some 2000 grit sandpaper.  It will work just fine.

The benefit of using scotchbrite and abralon verses wet/dry sandpaper is the finish looks smoother and is more consistent by hand.  I only use sandpaper with a spinner, otherwise it looks like a cat was using the ball as a scratching post.
