Upkeep your Doom.

For the guys that just bought there Dooms.  If you don't keep the cover maintained it will loose it's shine thus may loose the same reaction.  This is with all polished or pearl balls.

Well the Doom is very easy to keep the cover in top shape.  If you have a spinner it's easier but is not needed.

If you don't have a spinner bring it to your pro shop and let him polish it once with the spinner then you maintain it by hand.

Buy Ebonites factory finish polish.  This is the exact polish that is on this ball in box condition.

Then buy Ebonites energizer cleaner.  This is great for cleaning the Doom plus it gives that tacky feeling to it just like when it's new.

I clean my Doom after every 3 games with energizer cleaner.  I polish it after every 3-6 games.  This keeps the ball looking and reacting like new.  I clean it first with the energizer cleaner.  Then I polish it.  Then I clean it again lightly to give it that tacky feeling.

This process has worked great.  My Box Doom has about 100 games on it.  It looks brand new and reacts like it did when it was new.

A lot of balls from company's are hard to bring a ball back to box condition after it has been dulled.  That is not the case with the Doom.  I have one of my Dooms that I have dulled to 600 grit and used it.  Then I polished back to factory finish and used it.  Then dulled it again and reploished it with delayed reaction.  If I ever want to bring it back to box condition it's simple by using this same process.  All I would have to do is dull it down in steps to 800 grit then bring it back up to 1000 and repolish it with factory finish.  It will look like new and react like new.  I really like how ebonite/hammer has made it very easy to change the cover on there balls and bring it back to factory condition.

Hope this helps guys.
