I had both and the Purple went down much longer with a skid/snap reaction.
The Blue was much smoother and started up earlier but overall hook was about the same.

blue has a much more aggresive coverstock (cut-throat)

so if your lookin for a dry lane ball

get the purple

Duke: Get the Blue and give it a tame drilling.

I have mine pin 4-1/2 from PAP and it works on everything so far.

Carry has been pretty tough as of late on my Tuesday night leauge. So with all this talk about the Vibes I tried something different last night. I used my Blue Vibe, started playing straight up 8 at the arrows and finished hitting 11 out to 5 and went 232,269,289 for 790.

As the lanes got dryer this ball was VERY predictable
