Vicious Strike
« on: September 21, 2004, 03:52:30 AM »
Hammerheads,

Anyone throwing a Vicious Strike these days?  I have one laying around the shop and have been thinking of drilling one...do some layouts work better than others?..Most of my stuff rolls early, including my Big Blue, which is burning up in the heads.  Need something with backend that'll go longer than the BB.  Thinking that this could be my answer for fresh oil, or for an alternative for BB.  I know I could go to BB Pearl, but I don't have any more in the shop.

Thanks,

Bill

I threw this at Demo Day along with a Big Blue and Power Diesel.  IMO in box finish this was more ball than the Big Blue and Power Diesel both.  I don't know why they gave up on it so quick.

I have had mine since christmas. at first I hated it because I couldn't get it to do anything other than die out way too early. They have since resurfaced the lanes, set up a new oil pattern and I love it. I don't know any of the technicals on the ball but the Pin is up and over about an inch from my ring finger (my pinky rests directly in between it and my finger grip. The CG? is almost directly below it. LMB to the right of my thumb hole and a weight hole on the right, in line with the CG.

Out of box finish didn't match up with my lanes as it would rev up too early and take off, or die out by midlane. I polished it up and now it gets through the head oil, hooks up at midlane and makes it's turn. I have noticed that it carries a lot of lighter hits as well. Shot a 722 with it two night ago when no one else in the league even sniffed the sunny side of 650.
