Viral Solid
« on: March 16, 2016, 11:31:22 PM »
I have a blue hammer with the vibe core and I'm loving the blue hammer. Because I skipped out on all the Vibes and the current price of the Viral Solid, I'd like to give this ball a try.

Can those who have thrown this ball, share your experience?

What kind of lane Surface do you bowl on? (AMF, BrunsWick, or wood)

Does a round object have sides? I say yes, pizza has triangles..

Check out lane side reviews vid on YouTube, pretty impressive for the price point.

Medium-light oil house shot killer.

I still throw my 7+ year old Blue Vibe with the solid CutThroat cover from time to time for fun

I'm rev dominant and I still find this ball, with the stock surface, gets a little too long to handle true medium oil. Like SVstar34, I find its forte to be medium-light oil. Smooth reaction in general, with easy but not excessive length and good, controllable backend without any flippiness. Carry is only average, so far, for me; I expected a little better, given all the noise about the filler and core. I liked the original Blue Vibe better due to its better carry, but I'm glad I bought this one.

I read some of the reviews on this ball....... some just seem to be "cut and paste" which is such a turn off lol....

It seems best to post a video with the written review IMO..... anyone can label themselves cranker, tweener, stroker, and fluffer... or say they have 300 - 400 rpms...

No video, but I drilled the Viral Solid out a couple of weeks ago with a pin down, 2 inch to PAP layout.  I use this layout on shorter patterns, and real fresh back ends.  Last week I shot 960 for 4, playing outside of 5 board on a Cheetah in my singles league.  Half pocket carry was exceptional.

I also practiced on a burned out Sunset Strip pattern playing a little out angle around 12 board.  Ball got through the burned heads very well and carried nicely.

Anyone who likes the Vibe Core should like the Viral Solid on medium to hooking patterns.
