Yes, it was. I owned one, and it definitely looked and reacted like a pearl.

If I remember correctly, the cover stock was a pearl with an aggressive traction additive. It handled a fair about of oil with some surface.

Thanks, guys. I thought so. Never even saw one, so I was wondering.

I saw the description here on BR. It said "Traction Pearl additive". Wasn't 100% positive. Thanks.

No worries. I read that other thread, that guy was incorrect.

My toxic became my main test subject when I purchased my spinner. I became very familiar with the cover.

It's amusing how the term "additive" has become a buzzword.

Most times, pearlization is effected by adding mica to the coverstock. Small sized mice makes it a pearl, yet larger sized mica (2nd Dimension, Prodigy and several older Storm balls) can be added as particles to add friction, to the coverstock. So "Traction Pearl" can be a sort of a double entendre.
