Well, I bought a black widow
« on: July 04, 2006, 04:58:04 AM »
Got it drilled stack leverage and have to say, this ball is all it was cracked up to be, it's hard for e to find a ball that hooks hard enough due to my ball speed, I throw between 19-20 mph, and a lot of balls just don't have the backend to recover if I have to move outside, This one does, and when I hit the pocket, or anywhere around the pocket, it does the job. I don't think I've ever seen a ball that hits this hard.

I was a big time Brunswick fan and their inferno line, but I have to say the the widow just became my favorite ball.

Great job HAMMER.

no1bucsfan,
I like what I am hearing about this ball, I also throw in the 19mph range. What kind of lane conditions are you using it on? Medium oil, heavy oil, etc? I am not looking for this to be a heavy oil ball, although from what I have read for some it could be, looking for more of a medium to med/heavy, a step down from a Big One. Thanks for the input and good luck with it.

I get to try my Black Widow tomorrow night. Mines drilled #4 as I have slower ball speed then most of the rest of you. It will be interesting to see what happens. And if it's too dry, that's why I have my Raw Hammer Doom and Purple Vibe with me! Combined with my Road Hawg and Hawg Wild, plus blue spare, I should be set for just about everything except really heavy oil. So what will I probably see, even though it's summer? Any guesses?

scg, not a lot yet, 10 so far, but it reacted the same every throw, it's very predictable, can't wait for league this week so I can try it on sport conditions.

Jorge, it can definitely be a heavy oil ball if you change the cover slightly. The lanes were absolutely flooded when I got mine, and it wasn't getting back, I had my pro guy put a light, quick sand on it, (not sure of the grit), and it made an amazing difference, after that it did what I wanted. OOB it is should be a great med/heavy oil ball as a step down from your big one. I got it specifically for my heavy oil ball, then step up to my V2 sweet after the breakdown, I can see it filling either void in your arsenal. Again, I haven't thrown it a lot yet, but am very excited about it.
