Another post of this ball company sucks this one is better. This subject no matter what company is on either side is always fun to listen to people go at each other. Hammer never was a favorite of mine but I did have the 3D Offset and that thing was awsome for me it just left to many 10 pins. No matter what I did could not trip the 10 pin. It was an excellent ball however. My only 300 is coming from the old Turbo X from Ebonite so I will NOT put down Ebonite. Everyone has there favorite company and in their eyes all others suck. Up here in South Dakota the big 2 companies in the past few years have been Columbia and Storm. Brunswick is making a big come back but since they have not been pushed by many people it is harder for their product to be sold. Hammer is just like any other company it will work for some and not for others. I had the Pacific Storm and HATED it, do I say Storm sucks due to one bad experience? No I don't I know they make good equipment that matches up with other people better then that ONE ball did for me. Yes I have not tried anything else from them but I do know that the equipment is good. So just because a few have had problems with Hammer does not mean they suck. Grow up realize that you may not have had a good experience but other people are liking the product.

Yeah i'll knock Hammer all day long..like someone said before.."Hammer is making a come back.." Yeah...just proves that they were dead in the water..second of all...yeah sure Ebonite produces Hammer...big deal...Hammer just takes all the reject balls that Ebonite wants to put out..they figure just before releasing it..ahhh its not gonna sell..why not just give it to Hammer division..just send it down there and put their stupid little tool on it and lets see what they can do with it...ok now the point about Ebonite producing Hammer...that doesn't mean i'm knocking Ebonite AT ALL...hey if I hate Lexus does that mean I hate Toyota also? NO!!!..so til then understand that a forum is all about opinions..for the record I am not a left handed bowlers...DO NOT GET ME STARTED ON THAT...but anyway...Ebonite is the best maker out there..considering the equipment they have given me for free..and the honor scores that I have earned using their equipment...and for the last time..Hammer sucks

You Fear Me..

You are an absolute IDIOT!!  I don't know how you can even begin to think that Hammer is an inferior company, and that they do not research and design their stuff.   Brian Graham is the Product Manager, who used to work for Columbia.   Ron Hickland is a ball designer for Ebonite/Hammer, who posts on this site, and those are two of the best in the business.

I actually don't want someone like you to throw Hammer.  Man, you must be really good with your ONE 300 game and all.  You must read ball reactions really well.   (sense the sarcasm?)

Mr Benitez,

I am not sure how you can say there are no Hammer products being used in the Phoenix Area. You obviously haven't bowled any ACBA events. Hammer is everywhere in Phoenix.

You have a right to your opinion on a company's product.I am sorry you didn't have succes with Hammer products.

Here is a link to the ACBA website (azbowling.com)which will give you the schedule for the year thru Dec. Come show your skills to this beginner who is a Hammer user and staff member.

Have a good one.

Ben

Sheab, Sundevil, whoever...

Consider taking Mr. Laughlin up on his offer. I'll even sweeten the deal. If you can finish your first ACBA tournament higher than Mr. Laughlin, I'll personally buy you any top of the line bowling ball of your choosing.

Hammer has been very good to me, can't say I haven't had my fair share of trouble throwing Hammer equipment, but hey WHO said it was they balls fault!!!!
It's always easier to point the blame on the ball.  But a ball is just a tool, the bowler MUST know how to that tool properly in order to be successful!!!!!

To anyone who thinks Hammer sucks, I'll GLADLY buy whatever Hammer balls you don't like.  I have seen there are lots of folks here that like the Diesels.  But don't forget the Blades and the Big Blues.  I feel that a GREAT arsenal of 4 balls would be the 2 Blues, the Blade Pearl, and the Big Blus spare.  Any takers on the buy-out of bad Hammers, just PM me!!!
As someone else said, KISS MY BIG BLUE ONES!!!

I am not trying to feed this but I think that Jimmy T is right that Ebonite doesn't give Hammer their best effort. I went to a big trade show last summer. I was going interested in the Vicious Hammer. I asked the rep (well known) at the Hammer/Ebonite booth which way the weight block was in the ball. He opens the brochere and shows me. I showed him the ball ad and it was upside down. He did not know which way the core was in the ball. So, he gets a guy that says he's a ball rep. He looks at the 2 ads and couldn't decide which way it was in the ball either. So, he goes and gets one of their a tour players and he wanted no part of that discussion. Unbelievable, this was a trade show. I still do not know which way the core is positioned.

I have owned one (sling blade). It works just fine, it is round.

Truthfuly I don't think hammer sucks, however I think the bowler that is spreading this does.

i'm sorry but im sure that you average 170-180 Hammer is strictly for beginners and I'm way too advanced to bring myself down to your level.

I'm sorry sheab but I average 231 and I use all Hammer products.  I have a Blade Pearl that is ALWAYS the first ball out of my bag and i have the big block diesel and the big blue pearl.  They are all very good balls and they may not be good for you but I and an unmentionable amount of people love Hammer prodcucts.  So to say that you are "too good" for a particular line is just being close minded and arrogant.  I would never say any line or something "sucks," i would say that it didn't work for me or i just didn't like the reaction I was getting.

dang, this thread goes on forever, I don't even feel like reading it all.  It's like the never ending story but as a post.  I've never seen so many people reply to someone who said so little to start the ball rolling.  But I guess when the ball starts, it's hard to stop. this thread alone has 79 (with mine 80) posts and 1769 views. HOLY CRAP!!!
