Black Widow vs. Angular One
« on: March 31, 2007, 10:45:52 AM »
Has anyone thrown these two? Looking to get one for a house shot and double as a pba shot ball. Any ideas of the differences b/w these two???

So far i have only seen the Angular One thrown twice and it looks real strong from what i have seen. Just curious how the Black Widow looks next to it... Thanks

From what I've seen the Angular looks like sh*t. Everyone that has a Widow love it, and it always performs great. The Angular seems to really need some dry boards to come to life, from what I've seen.

I have both. The Angular One isnt really a med heavy oil ball. It needs friction probaly medium oil ball at best. Both balls are similar in length Angular goes longer. Angular One has realy nice hit and carry.

Take the Angular One down to 2000 grit and it's a monster.

I have owned both of these balls.

Angular One: In it's box condition can handle a decent amount of oil.  The one I hade didn't fair well with carry down.  Now if there's dry boards anywhere this ball is going to move hard.  The AO is a very strong back end type of ball.  This ball kills walled up house patterns but not so good on the more difficult patterns.  The break point is just too dam strong.

Black Widow: in it's box condition handle a decent amount of oil.  The BW in box condition will handle a tad bit more oil than the AO.  The BW also has a very strong back end but just goes about it in a different way.  It has what I would call an arcish back end reaction.  Kind of like a cross between arc and flip.  I feel this ball would work well on tough patterns if drilled correctly for them.
